The Brewers have reached an agreement on a contract agreement with Mike Gonzalez, according to two sources.

The deal, which is not expected to be finalized until next week, is expected to be for one year.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports was first to report the agreement on Friday afternoon, and ESPN's Jim Bowden added that Gonzalez will earn $2.25 million plus incentives.

The Yankees may have found a fit in their search for a right-handed-hitting outfielder, reportedly agreeing to terms on a Minor League deal with veteran Matt Diaz.

The New York Daily News reported on Wednesday that the Yankees will extend a Spring Training invitation to Diaz, who turns 35 in March and had his 2012 season with the Braves cut short due to injury.

Nick Swisher has agreed to terms with the Indians on a four-year, $56 million contract, according to a report.

A vesting option for a fifth year at $14 million could increase the value of the deal to $70 million.

The option is based on plate appearances in 2016.

Raul Ibanez and the Mariners have agreed to a $2.75 million, one-year contract, according to a person familiar with the negotiations.

The deal allows Ibanez to earn an additional $1.25 million in performance bonuses.

Ibanez returns to the team he began his big league career with from 1996-00, then rejoined from 2004-08.

Pitcher Scott Kazmir has reached a minor league deal with the Indians that includes an invitation to the big league camp, according to a report by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The 28-year-old left-hander spent last season with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League and currently is pitching in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

Catcher A.J. Pierzynski has agreed to terms with the Rangers on a one-year deal, pending a physical, sources confirmed.

Pierzynski, who turns 36 on Dec. 30, batted .278 with 27 homers and 77 RBIs this past season for the White Sox. He played in 135 games, starting 121 at catcher.

The Cubs and pitcher Edwin Jackson agreed to terms on a four-year, $52M deal, a source told ESPN's Jim Bowden on Thursday.

Jackson, 29, was 10-11 with a 4.03 ERA in 31 starts (189 2/3 innings) with the Nationals in 2012. 

The Cubs added another right-handed pitcher in Carlos Villanueva, who has agreed to a two-year contract, a major league source told ESPNChicago.com's Bruce Levine. The deal is pending a physical.

The Brewers agreed to terms with left-hander Tom Gorzelanny on a two-year deal pending a physical exam, two sources confirmed Thursday.

The club did not comment on an agreement first reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The contract is expected to be made official on Friday.

Free-agent third baseman Placido Polanco has agreed to a one-year contract with the Marlins, pending a physical, sources told ESPN.com.

The deal is worth $2.75M, according to the Miami Herald.

The Giants agreed to terms on a three-year deal with right-hander Santiago Casilla on Monday. Casilla, who saved 25 games last season, was entering his final season of arbitration.

The deal includes a club-vesting option for a fourth year and is pending a physical. The Associated Press reports the deal is for $15M over three years.
